Ali Ardalan is a visual artist who focuses on themes of subject formation, identity, and language within the discourse of power. His artistic practice and research explore how the interests and beliefs of dominant powers infiltrate society in an attempt to institutionalize a particular version of reality. Through his work, Ardalan seeks to challenge the hegemonic representation of stigmatized groups and individuals, constructing nonlinear narratives to comment on the process of othering in the context of national identity and cultural homogeneity.
