Kibandu Pello-Esso is a Togolese-Swedish spatial designer based in Stockholm. He holds a masters degree in spatial design from Konstfack, where he is also now a guest lecturer in Design. He has recently participated in Documenta 15 in Kassel, Germany. Pello Esso’s practice is focused on spatial design, examining various typologies of spatiality, from well-developed urban public spaces to rural spaces. He is interested in counter-narratives defining and redefining certain established notions of our common living spaces., often departing from current discourses. Through design as method, he articulates forms and spatialities which then allow us to get closer to these discourses.
