Laure Melati Dekoninck is an architect and artist working at the intersection of spatial practice, activism, and textile design, with a focus on diasporic memory and embodied knowledge. Their practice weaves rituals, interpersonal relations, and lived experiences rooted in the teachings of their Batak heritage. Alongside Mike Lerjen, they co-founded the collective BIMBOS* exploring agency and parasitic strategies within existing systems. Laure currently co-teaches DRAG(UE): Performativity and the Built Environment at EPFL, a course that critically examines the built environment through the lenses of gender studies, queer theory, postcolonial perspectives and urban sociology.
