Lorenzo Cannas is an architect, independent researcher, and activist based in Rome, originally from Sardinia. He completed his MA in Architecture at the Politecnico di Torino in 2023. His work operates at the intersection of postcolonial theory, political ecology, demilitarization, and solidarity activism, with a focus on social practices as a means of engaging with the contamination of militarized landscapes in Sardinia. He is currently beginning a new line of research on the legacy and social impact of fascist architecture on the island, examining its connections to ongoing
militarization in Sardinia.
