{ spiral-shaped }

A format from the world of theatre that proposes an alternative to linear storytelling; so-called spiral-shaped dramaturgy. It was developed by the Danish dramaturg Ulla Ryum together with Sami theatre groups during the 1960-70’s as a way to challenge Aristotelian dramaturgy as a foundational framework for storytelling. For example, it will allow protagonists to ask each other the same question several times and receive different answers, which reflects how complex all knowledge of Sami history is. Time is allowed to go around or connect at one point to make the story more dynamic.
