Susanne Ewerlöf relies on Indigenous knowledge when contemplating how to approach the curatorial in a decolonizing way, questioning both the spatial and temporal logics that often frames exhibitions or spaces made to share artistic work. With a focus on sites around Árviesjávrrie / Arvidsjaur they have approached questions about how to connect with land and build relationships by spending time on the sites while relying on Indigenous Research Methodologies and various artistic strategies. Ewerlöf has a background in curating (Tensta Konsthall, Curatorial Program for Research among others) and collaborates closely with artists and communities. She holds a MRes degree in Curatorial/Knowledge from Goldsmiths University of London, as well as degrees in Culture and Media and Curating Art from Linköping and Stockholm University, respectively.
